Like painting a masterpiece, you need to take it step by step.
step 1 price and size
Choose what type of portrait and the size of the portrait. Decided the number of subjects within the painting or drawing and if you would like multiple pets or more than one owner in the portrait. You can find more information on the PRICES & SIZES page.
step 2 photograph
For references, look for clear, hi-res photographs of your pet. If you don't have any photographs you like at the moment, freshly taken photographs are good as well. You will need to submit at least 3 different photos for me to work with. Please keep in mind some of the photo elements that can help me create a better portrait and that can be found on my PHOTOGRAPHY TIPS page.
step 3 deposits/book
After you know what type & size portrait and you have all your reference photos, please fill out the commission form to book a date (the date when I begin your pet portrait) on my COMMISSION page. A deposit of 50% will be required to secure your booking. The full amount is payable will at completion. Please know that each portrait would take approximately one week and it will vary depends on its size, type, and how fast do you respond to my emails for updates.
step 4 update
A reminder email will be sent to you when I begin your portrait. For update, depends on whether you want it to keep it as a surprise or not. I’ll update you on the concept drawings and color palette via email. If you have chosen it to be a surprise, I’ll only update you when the portrait is finished. If you want to keep your portrait seal from the public until certain time You can give me notice then I won’t publish it on any social media within the next 3 months.
step 5 frame and mat
If you would like the piece to be framed and matted, please see more info on the PRICING page.
step 6 packing & shipping
After the artwork is framed (if you don’t want it to be framed, you will receive the portrait flat matted on mat board.) it will be packed carefully and securely, and shipped through USPS. You will be sent a tracking code.
step 7 storage and handling.
When placing your portrait, please keep in mind to place it away from long-term direct sunlight, high heat, or heavy moisture areas.
